Description

Well, I gotta admit, this was a pretty exciting moment for me, capturing this Egret. FINALLY, one allowed me to get somewhat close to it (9 miles close lol) without it flying away before having the chance to shoot. This one was fun; it stood in the marsh for a while; quite a distance away, then flew up in the trees - I never knew they did that. It looked WRONG to me, this tall, skinny, long legged bird up in a tree like that. lol Well, here she is in flight, against the most beautiful blue sky, it was quite a moment for me. It's no Nameless Wildness shot, Danob, Luis or Boris shot, but its mine. :) Hope you have a wonderful day today. Thanks for stopping by. Shari

great shot. You know it's funny, egrets are all around here, see one almost every day and I never gave it a second thought. They are naturally cool, in the truest sense of the word. Never fly fast, never fly slow, never work too hard. They do have a unique way of flying, taking off and landing, don't they? a bird a day, I love it
