Description

A complex little composite using two different renders of my Mosasaur built in Carrara. The first render was a murking "submerged" lite version. This was pasted onto photograph background. The surface water from the photo was than cut out made transpart and pasted on top of the submerged mosasaur render. Then back in Carrara a new render of only the surfaced portion of the animal was made with it surfacing through a shadow catcher plain object. this was than cut out and pasted onto of the submerged/transparent photo image.

You should submit a tutorial to DAZ and earn $25. I'm not exactly sure I understand the technique but the result is good.

Money for tutorials you say Krickerd... That sounds very appealing! I've put up a free one on my own website www.prehistoric-insanity.blogspot.com on scaled skin shaders, and was going to do one on this technique. When you say DAZ do you mean the program DAZ? I made this with Carrara. Would they take a Carrara tutorial? Thanks for the heads up to this and the suggestion!
