Description

Aranée remembered her father writing in The Book when she was a young girl. It was obvious that this was not his personal journal, for it clearly was written over time in many different hands. What did her father write in The Book? She desperately wanted to know for she was sure it held the key to her past, but it was written in an ancient Elvish script of which she only knew a few words from her childhood. She tediously worked out some of it using a paper a friendly merchant had given her, a paper giving Elvish equivalents for human trading words - unneeded since all of the Elves (except her) seemed to have vanished. Mysteries, mysteries - the gaps in her childhood memories, how little she knew of Elvish ways. And the biggest mystery of all - where had her people gone? And so she toiled to learn the difficult ancient text night after night... --- TO BE CONTINUED! View the series in numbered sequence to get the entire story. Not entirely happy with this one, but it furthers the story so I guess its time to move on... Beautiful lighitng on this one! the whole idea is very good. This is just my opinion but moving her eyes to look down at the book would have been a nice touch.

A wonderfully detailed image and I really love the lighting for this scene, especially from the candle. Also gotta say I love your story as that adds to the image so much for me.

This would be a difficult and complex scene for anyone, Larry. The lighting effects are actually quite well done, even if the shadow effects are a bit awkward. The point is that it does further the storyline and reveal something more about the main character. And of course, it leaves us wanting more!
