Description
To Live and Then Die.
Title Page.
Worked a lot to get the look just the way I want it.
Not sure if censure will be a problem with this graphic novel as it gets made and uploaded here so I will use a common title thumbnail page count to intro each page.
Keep your trays and seat backs in their upright position as we prepare for take off.

Wonderful retro style cover art with excellent characters, poses and expression! Perfect!

Love it! Except his pose. Just seems awkward. I probably just over critical from too much time at the range.

An excellent illustration!!!

Excellent, from the cover, it looks like we are in for a big payload of 60's stlyle and humour. a great start!

I think an intro page on characters would be a bold move... Something I wish I would of done. I have a few comments where people tell me they don't know who is who.... I remember his name is James Gold... but, who's the blonde??? Is she going to be a main character or someone who just shows up for the covers... aah... cover.... I made it to 100 before you... what's up with that? You were really leaving me in the dust... I even had net problems, people problems, computer problems, problem problems... It's good to see you post, I'm looking forward to your new story and art.

hooo boy! and here we go.... we need a good opening gambit, something that intoroduced the character doing what he does best (featuring the girl of course), which is James Bonding (jumping out of planes, driving fat cars, defeating really nasty villians, seducing beautiful women... or all of the above! looks shaken not stirred thus far!

I don't think censorship will be a problem, but it is a lot of work in front of you. If any help is needed, well you can count with me!!! Well done!

The layout and color is nice and a great resemblance but my personnel preference would be to try another filter with a less cross hatch effect on the image itself it worked on your last series very very well, just an idea put on your plate !
RBlue
Odessey.. Thanks for the input. The filter work is not as much filters as it is blending multiple render styles and effects.. The cross hatch was a last minute addition in Photoshop because I thought the layered painted effect for this particular image (though quite good) wasn't enough. So I agree and the comic strip will have much less cross hatch (Redfield filter) work in it. By the way, I am also painting several things and adding original artwork in PS blended in with the 3d scene, all this to reduce mesh building time and subsequently speed up production.

Your image is nice and neat. 5+.

Your main character in this shot looks like one moody SOB. I hope as you progress through the pages that he will remain so. More Tim Dalton than Roger Moore in character.. I like the choice of color, as you said, this will be different! Enjoy your days! Kev

The silhouette of your character's pose is the articulation of what you want to say with the character. In this case your agent's silhouette is less strong because you have turned his wrist shortening the extension of his hand and reducing the shape of the gun. Those head-on angles have worked better when the shot is not wide like you have here but a head and shoulders shot where the gun is up against the camera lens in all its detailed glory. As an internal detail, he seems to be looking at the gun. It would be stronger and more appropriate if he were looking out at what he is shooting. Glad to see you come back to color. Good luck with it.

Very cool! Waiting with bated (baited?) breath.
PsychoNaut
Heh cool Bond! But damn does he look PISSED! I think even the ALIENS would think twice and bugger off.
Platin
Nice cover design! Cool poses and expressions too!!!

Deci6el raises some of the same points I was going to make. You might want to download and study some of Robert McGinness' posters and paperback covers. He did the classic posters for the 007 flicks THUNDERBALL thru DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER. The spy would probably look more imposing if we were looking up at him rather than down. His right shoulder, being the leading shoulder, should be higher than the trailing shoulder. This would also affect the gun arm, giving it a more dominant position. The arm should be cleanly extended to the left without any foreshortening. Likewise the pistol would work better clearly pointed at something off to the left. The seated bikini blonde fits with McGinness's designs but she's too dang blase in her pose and especially her expression. She needs to look either fearful or glamorous. As is, she looks bored or even embaressed. That said, I am really jazzed at your new project! I am soooooooooo glad I stumbled across your work, not an easy task given the 1.6 million images here at Rendo.
