Description

This is one of the 100-some illustration I created for my surreal tale Witches and Fish: A Parable of Dreams which is available for free viewing. The story treads strange worlds where fish sing siren songs, a magic key unlocks doorways in the sky, and those too proud or too slow are transformed into piles of rust -- or worse. The original illustrations provide a counterpoint to the sparse (and hopefully witty) text, creating a dreamlike narrative Lewis Carroll (or Carl Jung) might have appreciated. I think you'll find Witches and Fish is an oddly sophisticated story disguised in simple clothing, both amusing and amazing as it unfolds into a one-of-a-kind tale you'll want to explore time and again. I'm hoping you'll read it now.

Wonderful illustration Duncan, as usual the eyes are most mesmerizing for me, very simple layout which draws the eyes in...Excellent work.

This is really beautiful, I love its simplicity and its light. And yes, her eys are something else. I tried to download the book but it says it's only available for the US... sniff... :)

I want to apologize to non-US members as apparently the free version is only available here in the US (due to the fact that most of the advertisers are based in the US).
