Description
Felt like doing an aging paladin/dragon rider sort.
She might've been pretty at one point in her life,
but she hasn't survived as long as she has, b/c of
her looks. She's not very nice, and neither is her
draconic companion. They've both lost friends and
loved ones...sacrificed a great deal to do the right
thing, and it's never easy...but not just everybody
can walk the righteous path and live to tell all the
tales, now can they?

Nicely done! I find it oddly true in a real life sense...as we get older, we tend to be more outspoken (due to our experiences in a harsh world), and many times that equates to not being very nice. We essentially learn when to put our foot down.
