Description
Mandado construir por el Obispo de Plasencia D. Juan de Carvajal en el año 1450. Antes de su construcción el paso se realizaba utilizando las numerosas barcazas que existían en sus orillas. Hay épocas en que el puente desaparece bajo las aguas. Dice un cromista del siglo XVII que el puente costo tantas monedas de oro como piedras tiene: 30000.
