The roots and leaves of a bonsai tree in infrared and with a little postwork. I like how the bark has an appearance similar to the skin of a young potato, and the know towards the lower middle looks a bit like the eye of an octopus. -----

Just when I thought your IR shots were getting boring, you whip this out. Damn. This is a perfect example of how you can get many nuances from just one shot -- it looks like some sort of alien lifeform or deep sea creature (your comment about the octopus eye wasn't even needed to give that impression but it did get me thinking). Very intricate and fascinating image.

A great saying and so true. Wow.. this is a wonderful capture with so much depth and texture. I can see an elephant's head near the bottom with his eye closed. Amazing what everyone sees. This has to be a favourite.
