Description

Here is one last view of North Falls, with a salmonberry plant trying to block the view. But I wasn't about to climb down to try to move it. You've seen what the canyon looks like. LOL One of the reasons I wanted to post this one is to show what it looks like behind the falls with an exposure of normal length. It's dark, but not like a cave or anything like that. Now we climb the stairs out of the canyon and grab some lunch. It's not a bad climb, because we've already been walking upstream, and therefore uphill, for over an hour from Lower South Falls, the lowest point of the hike. Thanks for stopping by and any comments.

What a wonderful look at the path behind the falls. I bet its loud and damp back there but not many can say they walked behind a falls. the salmonberry is very interesting. That's a lovely flower it has.

Beautiful falls. I like the spot where the water comes out of the rock on the right side of the falls. Thanks for sharing your hike.

It's beautiful, Dennis, plant and all. You make the water look so silky. Makes me want to stand under it, but I'd probably be beaten to death, so I'll pass.

It is nice to be able to see the bigger picture to see what it looks like behind the falls. I love the little waterfall to the right. I'm sure it has big dreams of someday being as large as North Falls.

LOL @ Denise! "Little squirt." :) I like that too. It makes a nice counterpoint to the main falls.

Lovely scenery! It's always fun to find something a little odd to showcase and that tiny fall shows just how quirky nature can be :)
