Description

I got to Oregon on Thursday, and Friday morning Jill and I drove to Smith Rock. It's a pretty amazing place! I took lots of pictures, and I'm going to make you look at more than just these two! :) Do you see that almost perfect, dark circle in the large image? It's just to the left of center, near the top of the cliff. I couldn't figure out what it was, so I zoomed way in and got a couple shots, hoping I could learn more once I uploaded the pictures to my computer. It worked! :) And do you see the trail that runs at a diagonal up the rock face on the right-hand side? Jill tells me that's called Misery Ridge. I sure wouldn't want to climb it! Yikes! I made these images nice and big, so if you check 'em out in full view, you'll be able to see more.

I think we ought to just hike up that trail and say we did it! :-) Great shots and wonderful sleuthing.

Okay, terrific clarity, color, textures and POV in these shots of the table top mountain on the left, and the macro of the red-ant hill on the right. The top of the mountain looks like it was a chopping block in its previous life. I've had a lot problems with my computer over the last 24 hours, so, in this deep state of aggravation, I may not be too lucid in my comments.
