I'm going to guess the Mexican Brown Bat. A very tiny but prolific type of bat. We have a great number of them in our downtown and from time to time you might hear of one coming through a duct into an office. I see them dead on the sidewalk sometimes after they crash into the side of a building... We also have a couple of small caves and river bridges that have colonies living in or under them. I like to go fishing at the river and as the sun disappears on the horizon, they will swoop down in front of me, catching the bugs that hover just over the water. This is a wonderful shot of these beautiful creatures.

Beautiful creatures but... Watch out for the rabies! We had to get rabies shots over the span of a week. It was mandated by the county so I didn't have to pay for them. Thank god because a treatment for 1 person costs $12,000. Three of us had to get the shots!

Well, this is a rare shot. When lots of them are to be seen together, most often they hang on cafe roofs. They are so cute, very nice to see! And it's not a common subject at RR!
