Description

This dedication is for a truly dear friend of mine Barb, or known to many as (goldie) Barb is such a kind lady and loved by so many here at the gallery because of her sweet nature and great sense of humor. Barb is a truly wonderful Poser artist and creates magic in all of her works. A look at her gallery will reveal countless creative scenes and some of the most exotic characters you can imagine. She provided me with several wonderful stories but it was this simple one that capture my heart and imagination that I wanted to share with my friends. Thanks Barb and hugs for being such a great friend to me. Suzie's Road Trip (For goldie): When Barb was a little girl living in Texas that day that all families dread finally came, the day a family moves. Barb's was making a extra long trip and loading up everything for a move to New York. Barb loved animals and had a pet Lamb named Suzie who was very protective of her and meant more to her than anything in the world. So at last the old black car was loaded up and all that was left was for Barb and her pet bluejay Baby to join Suzie in the backseat. She said the trip was such a adventure trying to travel so far with her pets and I would love to have been there to have seen it. Hope you enjoyed my attempt to capture that moment for Barb, please take care, Dave Credits: Madison, Vick-3, Mike-3, Lamb by Daz Trees By Mapps Maddie's Summer Clothing By Karanta Verona Outfit For M-3 By Poserworld Dakar Outfit By Poserworld Songbird By Silverleif Studios, Anton Kisiel Worldbase Xtreme Kit By H. It's a great image, a lot of fun, and each object in the back of the car is very vivid and tactile, as if the memory were blazing and made each object stand out. Wonderful detail in the criss-cross on the trunk, the label on the box, what looks like a lock on the front wheel of the tricycle, and so on. You even got the irregular wear-lines on the car seats. But of course, your people are in one or another state of anticipation and departure, there's a lot of joy in their aspects, and Barb is rendered with full variance of line, shape, and movement (really wonderful motion in her render), as is her father (mid-step) and mother (rested but turning to see her beloved family). And the car has a sheen and smoothness that's striking, in contrast with the rest, giving the feeling we used to have about cars, that they were shiny beautiful objects that represented freedom and flight. The background is nice too, with the stunning red houses/buildings and beautiful (and delicately detailed) grass. One could write about scores of things in each of your images, so they wind up choosing 'representatives', unfortunately; but the overall is a celebration of a moment of joy and anticipation, and yet another loving tribute to someone you love, and an invitation to everyone else to join you in your love. Lovely, Dave, as always. A beautiful celebration.

Wonderful work, Dave. You truely master the act of bringing people's childhood memories back to life. Fantastic and humoristic depicting on this finely arranged scenario. What i find great in the story too, is the understanding from her parents. Understanding and respect, of the value and importance of these pets, to Barb. Admirable parental behaviour i would say. A fine dedication to Barb(Goldie).

Strange, I had a dream last night with a car about like this one, traveling with my family... the strangest part is that we divorced 5 yrs ago! Excellent work, great scene!

How fun! I can't even imagine taking a lamb in the car, lol! It must have been an amazing journey and necessary for Suzie to have her beloved pets, how kind of Barb to allow that! I recall many moves over the years and in too many cases the pets had to be left behind. This story is so full of love! Great dedi to your friend, and many thanks for sharing her wonderful story with us!

Wonderful dedication and image! I think Suzie and Barb are reassuring each other with that touch, that all will be OK. I do think they need to reconsider the location of the green suitcase and I'm not sure where the other one is going. They look pretty full up. Excellent expressions! There is a look of suppressed excitement mixed with slight worry that something has been forgotten or left undone on the parents' part and excitement added to a bit of worry about the unknown on Barb's. I like the open door, beckoning them to their future together. Very nicely done!

Beautiful image, as usual. and another time that you could be discussed endlessly. Personally I would not wish a move even the worst enemy, let alone what may be a transfer for a girl who must leave his world to a place far away and unknown! Great comfort his faithful lamb that follows her.
