Description
Still at Smith Rock. According to my local guide (Jill) the boulder that's balanced in the gap is called Monkey Rock. I think it looks like the bird, Woodstock, from the Peanuts cartoons. She says it looks much more like a monkey from the other side.
That's Black Butte in the distance.
This one is for my friend Doug (Unstrung65), because he loves the desert. When I showed him some of the pictures I took at Smith Rock, he made me promise I would post THIS one in particular. I agree - it's one of my favorites, too. Thanks for your feedback, Douglas - love ya, Babe! :)
