My personal opinion is that every image has value, it merely depends on what the viewer sees. I think this is not mediocre as it brings many things to mind for me...but then I am just learning too so do not know if my comment has any value...at any rate, I like it!

I also like this very much; whether it's "great art" or not I couldn't tell you. But I like the composition very much, and the texture of the vertical bars is intriguing.

When I was still teaching art to teenagers we often did observed work through a fence or grill. The main reason I chose to do this with them was to give them a framework through which to get the proportions right, but a frequent side effect was that some pieces of work took on this 'Obstacle' theme. Sometimes it became more than that, and some of the work was about entrappment. All these thoughts were brought back by your image, Nikolay, so it's obviously valuable! You might think about what this is an obstacle TO, at present there is blackness, maybe a series is in the making?.......

I think this is top rate Nikolay although I would have placed the object just a little to the right in the frame. I love the horizontal framing of a vertical object and I definitely would not have included any typography within the frame. I am sure that I haven't really grasped the concept yet but it seems to me to have something of a 'Shibui' feel to it, and it is perfect in mono.

the horizontal framing of the vertical object makes it a fine image. personally i do not think that the typography disturbs the image, but i am typographically minded :-) - placing the object in the middle is imo right because of the typography included. very fine image.

I like it very much, Nikolay. The textures on the vertical bars are very intriguing and the title is very fitting. I've not had any art training myself, but do know what I like and I think this is wonderful art. Somewhat abstract and surreal, but very appealing.

It evokes emotions. And isn't that what great photography is suppose to do.

I love the texture in this one but as I am very much an amateur too I just know what I like or not, regardless of whether it is correct or not.

More than just "some" value....quite good, in fact !

Ilove this, both because of the great textures and composition, but also because it is so open for associations. The viewer can make his or her own story.

This has quite a lot of value, especially in regard to the texture and play of light and shadow! Fantastic work here, and I love the abstract quality of it. Superb work. Your capture of texture is superb and the geometric regularity is quite stark.
