Description
This weekend Alex and I celebrate the 2nd anniversary of leaving my home state of Washington behind and moving to the state of New York. The trip was a grand one, five days in a U-Haul truck with my 17 year companion Dominoe Kittee (no longer with me), Alex and Hunter, our friend. I don't recall each state we passed thru but I recall vivididly the beauty of this beautiful world we live in.I recall the glory of each new sunrise and the silent blanket of stars bathed in moonlight each night.
There was music and laughter, a couple scary moments, but never a single regret at leaving the familiar behind in search of new adventures in a place where I knew no one and had never been. Its been a rough 2 years but well worth every minute. We are after all spirits on a human experience and each day should be experienced to the fullest. Of course there have been pitfalls along the way but always my best friend, my best guy, my Alex has been there. I love you more than there are words, and I thank you again on this anniversary for believing in me, for living these experiences with me, for lifting a glass to the future and for learning with me, for being my soft place to fall, for loving me. Happy Anniversary to US my Alex!
