Description

A bit of a different direction from me for today's render. I was fooling around with an elongated cylinder and after applying an architectural mat to it, went to an inside view and this was the result. It reminded me of looking upward into a cathedral's dome. I decided to go with the idea and deem it an abstract. It was rendered at full size with the Premium settings. Hope you like it as much as I do and thanks for viewing and commenting. Bryce, resized, sharpened and signature with Paint.Net.

Definitely looks like a cathedral ceiling Keith...it's funny how you can spend hours on an idea to see it bomb, and then just fooling around have a unique image appear with little fore-planning.The mats look good on this, also kind of reminds me of a very bizarre piano keyboard.Well done my friend!

Excellent work, Keith. You are very naturally gifted. This is a great themed abstract. I can hear the organ music filling that dome right now!

Excellent abstract Keith and yes a bit different in direction for you.. but I like it... As for me I see the inside works of a motor.. like an Armature traveling at a high rate of speed...also see extreme rotational force blue lines represent electrical field or discharge... gray area motor housing and black infinite space... cool stuff...well done!!! P.S. also see the cathedral dome so I guess I am only half nuts

Wonderful work Keith, I agree with e-brink, all that's missing is you playing your pipe organ. Great abstract theme. Sometimes it's great to fool around in Bryce and this is a great example. Tony :-)

Nice change Keith! My first thought was aventilator shaft in a space station complex. But thats the joy of these forms- like any abstract painting people see different things. Or another take would be inside a cylindrical tower on an alien world, in which case, outside would be a night planet scape? (All the black areas which would be glass.) Worth a shot? Great result from 'fooling about!'

On clicking on the thumbnail of your image I thought you'd moved away from Bryce and turned to photography!...Wow, this is really creative and inspiring for everyone using Bryce. The dome-effect and perspective are magnificent. Brilliant and creative work, Keith!

Gorgeous abstract! This reminds me of the dome of a cathedral, but also anything from an engine turbine to something otherworldly in a way. I love the visual ambiguity of that, the way it can be whatever you see during any particular time. Great rendering work.
