Description
Mordecai Pendragon lowers his flask for a moment to discuss things with a demon while Vampirella looks on.
Those who have read Vampirella will remember that Mordecai Pendragon is Vampi's guide and mentor. Once a great sorcerer, Pendragon is now a sideshow magician.

Back in the 1970s a live action Vampirella film was seriously being considered by Hammer Films (not too long before the studio closed). Had the movie been produced as hoped, Vincent Price was the prime candidate to play Pendragon. Peter Cushing, continuing his Hammer tradition, would have played van Helsing (as he did in the various Chris Lee Dracula films). Vampi herself? A former PlayBoy Playmate, Barbara Leigh had already been contracted. Though the Hammer film was never made, Leigh did appear on several of the original Warren Magazine Vampirella covers in full, or rather, minimal costume. Plenty of Vampi images here, but I think this is the first time I've seen any of the original supporting cast. Great variation on a popular theme! Sincerely, Bill
