Description
Brighid is a semi-religious art piece depicting the ancient Pictish people under the watchful gaze of one of their primary Goddesses, Brighid. She is a merciful and loving Goddess who watches her people as they live, love, and fight their way through life.
I made all of the clothing by hand, the Woad, and even the jewelry. I used two of my best Celtic swords for the image. It took me two weeks to create the dress and pants. I am not good at sewing, and I used only period materials. I have researched the Picts for many years and wished to recreate some of their glory. I hope the images do them justice, though the imagery is quite modern.

Ancient picts, c. 200AD - 800AD, wore pretty advanced clothing. I am not waring very much in the picture, though I could be wareing anyhting up to complex armor like scale mail.
