Description

Kudos to Dennis for coming up with the answer. I was very impressed that you were able to find it. Now I know who to call when I am stumped LOL. The name of the orchid is Psychopsis Mendenhall 'Hildos', and I have inserted the web sit that he included in his comment so you can all read about it. Thank you, Dennis. so here is another one for you, this was also taken in the Biltmore Gardens, the flowers and the gardens there are just stunning, and I don’t usually take many photos of flowers but I just couldn’t help my self, and it had finally stopped raining for a bit. Thanks for helping to identify my dancing flower.

And a Happy Memorial Day to you all, tomorrow starts a very busy schedule for me, with work, a course I am starting, and driving Erin back and forth to Knoxville each day for a project she is involved in this summer, won’t leave me much free time , but I am doing what’s important to me, so if I am not here to comment as much please know I am thinking of you all, and wish you all a wonderful summer.

Some sort of Clematis is my guess, we have one similar in our garden, I could be wrong though, it wouldn't suprise me in the least. Excellent capture and presentation Lynell, whatever it is. Bravo!!!!!

Very beautiful, I always like the water droplets on flowers, I have thought of carrying a spray water bottle with me while out hiking just in case on a warm day ..... great postwork Lynell.

The spidery center is a treasure. Excellent macro. Very fetching color. I was thinking Clamatis as well. One of the more hardy ones I believe.

How well the purple and green complement each other. What a gorgeous capture, lovely post work and very nicely presented. Certainly a beautiful flower. Wish you success in the up coming course you are starting, however I do hope you will continue to post a piccy or three when possible as i enjoy viewing your pics and reading cour contributions each day. Take care and nurse that toe. Cheers Phill
