Description
Still a lot going on right now and I haven’t been able to post or comment as much as I’d like too. Saturday I set under the shade of my oak trees and just watched the birds for a while; haven’t done that for some time, very relaxing. This Carolina Wren landed in a bush close to me, after jumping around inside the bush he/she came out with the delectable morsel for lunch. I would have preferred more color but under these trees the shade doesn’t allow much to grow, also this is on the edge of a brush pile that makes for a natural safe habitat for the birds. The birds like to forage in the shade of the trees, they feel safer from the occasional hawk or Mississippi kite that swoops down through the yard to see what’s going on and I throw seed here for the birds that like eating on the ground something for everybody, LOL. Hope all has had a great weekend and holiday. Thanks for your views and comments.

Very interesting to see your wren, it has a much longer tail than the British ones.

Very nice! I like the colors and I like the sort of abstract feel of all the textures including the wrens tail and feathers. The wrens here are different and their tails much shorter. Thanks for the info on the kites, I didn't realize they would prey on smaller birds!
