Description
I have just a few things in bloom now, but much is in bud. I think these amazing Oriental poppy buds would have preferred a sunnier spell today, but the rain shower that just stopped had a nice effect on a few things.......

Splendid display of water drops interspersed with hairy bristles on top of goose bumps in this magnificent macro of the Oriental poppy. Really a most unique and esoteric bud, which kind of looks like a yo-yo. I wonder if it developed the bumps because it was cold and wet.

Oooooooohh. Love the water drops caught in the poppy bud! They bring out a bit of lavender color on the fuzzies, don't they? Very nice.

The water drops are like crystals here and I love that effect! Wonderful sense of color and depth as well! The various shades of green are perfectly captured, as is the purplish/pinkish color in the background. Superb detail.
