The posing on this piece is excellent-- the stance of the boy, the mother's hand on his back, his hands, her face. The effect is very natural and very real-- it really reaches out and grabs. Excellent work.

This is wonderful. The poses,the mother's expression, the sky - everything works together to invoke powerful emotions in the viewer.

My goodness, what an emotional image. I agree, everything works perfectly together. I think what has brought tears to my eyes mostly is the the face that you don't see of the child, but his stance gives you a clear picture of how he feels, which is almost too painful to watch. Excellent excellent image!!

I see she's got more years in than he is old That's a Major's oak leaf on that shoulder tab :-) Maybe in about 30 years that could be his rank as he follows his mothers' footsteps
