Description
Not so much artistic photography...more a curiosity.
Something caught my eye whilst driving along the M2 on saturday so I went back to check it out the next day. I've never seen anything like it before but have identified it as the work of a tent moth ( ermine) caterpillar! quite common in smaller colonies. They have completely stripped the shrub bear.

These have been a nuisance in my area for many years. Defoliating trees to the point of no return. Many birds enjoy them, many residents do not. Well captured!

Well captured, fractal-like. Haven't had an infestation in a couple of years in my yard. They really did a number on the hickory trees.

Amazing capture, it actually gives me gooseflesh to think of the amount of insects behind the scenes here !

they do the same thing here and in a local park they along with spiders created more than a quarter acre of trees covered in webs.they think the spiders came because of so many mosquitoes.any way the spiders were having a feast.there is a picture in my gallery excellent capture

Very nice abstract photo, if you would crop it a little bit more you could sell it as a poster or something!
