Description

If anyone can help me name this plant I will be most grateful. I believe it to be a member of the tulip family. It grows in my garden. Thank you for looking and treasured comments. Have a lovely day. Hugs. Diane.

Wonderful POV and capture. I have no clue as the type of flower, but it is a raving beauty. I love tulips, so if it's a relative, I have to love this. ;o) Excellent image.

Greetings Diane, At first glance I thought it might belong to the iris family but if it is a bulb, then it belongs to the tulip family. The other way to tell is also by the shape of the leaf. Love seeing this photograph of yours as it has brightened my day. Thank you for sharing and have a wonderful week. egmont

It is quite a lovely flower Di. I must say I haven't a clue as to what it is, but from it's center it does look like a Tulip. I love the way the petals form a star. Chocolate Hugs:0)bonita

I have my book open in front of me, 'Readers digest encyclopedia' and Andrea is nearly right but the variety looks to be 'Tulipa saxatilis' and not 'turkestanica' which is creamy. What a super little flower it has. I must see if I can get some of these as I haven't seen them except what you have posted. Maybe I will learn something out of this course yet eh!!

A beautiful macro Diane! I like that little blue one, slightly out-of-focus, too. It makes the overall image that much better in my opinion, Sig...
