Description

:-) A photograph of one of my favorite photographs. Me learning to milk a cow under the gentle tuition of Petlos the milkman on my parents farm in South Africa. Petlos died..oooh years ago I guess but he and the very basic lean-to corrugated iron dairy (also long gone) that would have passed none of modern day hygene standards were always on my visiting list when on the farm as a child. Beautiful image, beautiful memories. This takes me back to my childhood on the farm where we had a couple of Jersy cows that we also milked by hand. Thanks for the trip down the lane. I'm faving this one.

You look to be so absorbed with this task, it is a delightful capture. We used to have to take it in turns to do this job when I was young but I was never terrible good at it.
