Description

Another try on matte painting. IÂ´ve been wanting to use some of my old parliament models and turn them into something futuristic, and had this idea for some time. Finally got time to finish it up. :) Started out with a 3D plate and the cathedral model, modeled and rendered in C4D & Maxwell, and did the rest in Photoshop. A few wip shots here, and here.

Beautiful, it really 'tingles' my imagination! One suggestion: could you add some haze or light behind the 'cathedral' to make it 'pop out' a bit more? At least on my screen it blends in with the background too much - I first thought it was built on the slope of the mountain to the left until I saw the WIP images. But otherwise it's excellent modeling and rendering!

sweet :)..would love to see some brighter highlights on the building to pop it out a bit more..great overall work though,the older model looks totaly different & very scifi..now I just wish it were bigger..& animated..Cheers!
