Description

In April and May, my prickly pear cactus bloom with beautiful yellow flowers. Here's one I captured with my Canon Digital Rebel. Cropped with slight color level adjustment and slight unsharpening with the Gimp. Thanks for looking

My fishhook barrel cactus and 3 small cacti in pots are odd and don't usually bloom for me until mid to late June. This is a lovely shot. They are so intensely yellow they seem to jump out of the picture.
