Description
My third hobo picture. This one, in addition to being inspired partly by my own hobo experience, was also inspired by the Boxcar Willie song "From A Boxcar Door", where he talks about all the places he's been and all the things he's seen, then each verse ends with "Big or small, I saw it all from a boxcar door"
The boxcar is from Baument's CD, but I modified it in 3ds Max: I detached the door and opened it, then created a doorway and inside walls and floor, then remapped the whole thing and made a new texture map using the texture that came with the model.

In the 70's we began to meet "hobo girls". No longer would the police pickup runaways and spirt them of to asylums. This was a writer's path in the tradition of Hemingway not so much the singers of Nashville, naked by a building. Definitely it was not women's liberation. Working out just the right brake drag on all the boxcars to take it down the backside of the Sierras is an art.
