Description

The "flattop" in its second year. I used the Biscayne model with the glasshouse clipped out and merged/adapted trim from the Sport Coupe, creating a new roof, backlight and rear window frame -- as i found the roof of my 59 model (a very old mesh) unsuitable. Thanks for watching.

Now in the community I lived in this car would have to have an accessory Continental kit. Not the extended bumper kind but the little railing backporch type. Did I mention how many cans it could tow away from the church? The Brougham four door hardtop aspect is not missed here. This car was definitely the easiest to put mufflers on. The X-frame was way inside and they just kind of hung out there. Would it have wide whites? I'm thinking ,no. Narrow belts and ties were popular then as well as narrow lapels. Chevy wheel covers would not fit on any other car. They had little bumps on the rim that held to a full circumfernece inner ring, not the spring tabs of other makes. Without the little bumps they would not stay on even though they fit. The black rim would show a little bit on this one. How much? just the flare visible only in oblique shots?
