To all of my mother's Renderosity friends:
It saddens me to no end to tell you that my mother, Mina, passed on May 31st, from endometrial cancer. She is survived by my father, Roger, and myself. I apologize for not letting you all know sooner, but her passing has left me with a broken heart and it is very hard to write this, even now. I don't suppose there will ever come a time that it will be easier.
I know how much she loved you all, how much it meant to her to have met such wonderful people, and how much it meant to her to create & share her art with you. I am leaving her work here for a while, as tribute to her, her beauty, her talent & her love.
Brightest Blessings to you all!
Heather

Thanks to all for stopping by and hope you enjoy your visit.

Fantastic and creative work my friend.....!!!!!!

Jaml's stolen my thunder in two ways! I also know the song ... someone kindly introduced me to Loreena McKennit last year! I also thought it was very reminiscent of a Klimt portrait - though the 'voice' is pure Mina, of course. The colours are lovely and as always the composition and mood superb! Hugs, Mike

Loreena McKennitt is also from my favorits........... and a lot of other Irish music. Effectively your gallery and style reminds me of that universe ! I think this picture has something from Chaggal's and Klimt universe............

WOW! Not only is this a fantastic image (as always) the title is shared with one of my absolute favorite songs. I love Loreena McKennitt--and though she's not Slavic, if you listen carefully, you can sense elements of awareness that influence the Nemaean universe I've been showing bits and pieces of here. But anyway, enough of that! I love this image, and as usual, I have to catch up! Oh well...that's normal, I suppose. Fantastic work though, gorgeous sense of composition and color!

Wow - I've not come across Loreena before but some of the stuff on there is like the English folk music of Steeleye Span or Fairport Convention - but she seems to have a lot more range. Superb! Great pic as well - does look a bit Klimtish, but also a bit Turkish as well - like an icon!

What a marvelous image!! I had several CDs by Loreena McKennitt, strangely though all but one vanished when my daughter discovered her. Funny how that works, isn't it?
