Portrait,the Belem before start to Quebec (8 May 2008)
In 1608, Samuel de Champlain (born at Brouage), father of the "Nouvelle France", crossed the Atlantic and founded the city of Québec.
The "Grande Traversée de l’Atlantique" is just one of the many events for this 400th Anniversary organised on both a regional and national basis.
