My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Hah! I knew it! LOL! That first photo at the top here has the most amazing light I've ever seen captured -- well done! And for the record, I've never even heard of this place, much less seen pictures. It's a wonderful, lovely place!

I'm not sure which I like more - your pictures or your commentary. Both are top rate.

A middle-aged lady with hair of gray? You sure had me fooled. After all this time I would have sworn you were an exact replica of Nicole Kidman or Sharon Stone. Stellar collage of good old Lake Billy Bob Chinook, young lady! The heavily textured canyon walls look most formidable in their stark grandeur. And you wear flip-flops to trod upon that treacherous terrain? I would be wearing ankle-high steel-tipped boots with cleats.

Quite a mix of scenery in these...if you look really close you can see people figures in the rock columns in number three..well..maybe after a couple of drinks..:) great shots...

What a scream, Tara! Middle aged? Pfufff!!! rubbish! I too find that flip flops are a perfect excuse for not doing anything unseemly. But I do have some 'serious sandals' as I can't keep out of water, I am drawn to it inexorably and have to at least paddle! SUPERB shots, I had no idea of the scale till I saw the bridge.

Awww now you have blown the magic, owning up like that, you should never tell the whole truth, leave them guessing you hold onto them longer. Lol. I can just imagine you in your straw hat and flip flops, scaling the canyon walls for that perfect pov. You certainly have some great shots to remind you of your visit, shots you can look back on, so that you can visit the wonderful places time and time again. Superb images, and some of the pov's make it seem as though you were stood on the edge, even if you wasn't. Excellent work and presentation. Bravo!!!!!
