Description

Post-apocalyptic fiction is set in a world or civilization after a disaster. The time frame may be immediately after the catastrophe, focusing on the travails or psychology of survivors, or considerably later, often including the theme that the existence of pre-catastrophe civilization has been forgotten. Post-apocalyptic stories often take place in an agrarian, non-technological future world, or a world where only scattered elements of technology remain. Ok - now that I've set the stage... here we have two lonely survivors in a time somewhere in the distant future. A little radiation has helped turn our feline friend an interesting shade of purple with lovely orange eyes. As for his lady friend, she wears a futuristic fashion - aka a cool metal swimsuit with matching mohawk headwear. Just the thing to wear to the beach. :) I wanted to do a science fiction kind of piece but thought it would be fun to do something a bit different from my other scifi pics. I had the most fun playing with the cat. I tried playing with the material room nodes and used a fur texture to get the basic furry essence you see. But I had to use Photoshop to 'paint' in the final furriness. Hope you enjoy the results! :) I used Poser 6 and Photoshop CS3 to create this picture. The background is actually a photo. The sea in front was painted in.
