Description
I came across this photo when going through some of my old files. It was taken by a crime lab tech. while I investigated the accident.
This was an interesting accident. The truck was stolen the night before and was found in the morning wedged in this alley. It was almost like someone had taken a helicopter and dropped it between these two buildings. I still don't know how they managed to crash it into this position. There was not even room to walk in front or behind the truck because of how close it was to each wall.
Not that interesting of a photo, but thought I would share it anyway.

it looks for me if they drove very fast at this icy road and than they suddenly pulled the hand-break to turn around. By doing this the car crashed with the front against the wall. nibe and interesting shot:)

Hmm interesting. Well, being of new england decent, I can help answer the age old question. If you look at the snow ..there is a bit missing just about the size of the rear tires. So I suspect they were speeding having a grand ol time joy riding when they hit black ice, and spun..but in the midst of doing so, they caught the walls, and slid. Normal speeds would of been just a cruch, but these boneheads had to been going 80 mph, so the tires slid on the snow, thus explaining why no tire tracks. At the same time, the heat from the friction and the tail pipe can melt the evidence of snow that would of explained how the truck got there sans helicopter.;) And because the front tire has ice on it, it didn't leave any marks because it slid all the way down.

It is difficult to tell from this photo, but the truck is quite a ways down this alley-way. There is quite a bit of damage to the front end (on the opposite side from this photo). This view is actually not in the direction the truck was traveling, so any snow or ice changes in this view were not from the truck. You all have some great ideas though, and I am sure it was somebody going very fast and hitting the front left of the truck to spin it into the alley-way. There is not much room to pick up speed though in the direction of travel. What amazed me most, is that there is no real damage to the rear of the truck, even though the bumper is touching one of the buildings. I am surprised at the interest this photo has generated. It makes me wish I had more photos from scenes and cases I have worked on. You don't think to keep any because you see so much every day that it just becomes common to you. Not to mention that hardly any of the film is ever developed unless it is requested. Thank you all for your views and comments, they are very fun to read and I like them very much!

when I went for my selective service exam, I spent the night in a different city than my former home. the other guys there also for the exam and myself were out walking around the big city. someone got the bright idea to turn a small car that was in an alley sideways and it was tight like this pickup

Wow. All I can say is its amazing what idiots can do when given half a chance. It reminds me of the last words a friend of mine told me before his untimley demise. "Hold my beer and watch this." LOL just kidding on that last part. Great image!
