Description
I decided to continue my planetary series and put the Castle Chronicles on the back burner for a while.
Uranus is named after the ancient Greek deity of the sky, Uranus, the father of Saturn, grandfather of Jupiter.
It is the seventh planet from the sun, (the third largest) is composed mainly of hydrogen and has its spin axis almost in the plane of its orbit about the Sun.
This produces unusual seasons and also causes unique magnetic and electric field structures.
What is not generally known, is that these magnetic fields must be kept in 'flow' by the two Celestial Warriors, Alia'h and Anon'na.
These two willowy beauties are charged with this essential task by the High Chamber of The Elves, and visit Uranus every third rotation, carefully negotiating the planet's eleven rings to drop beneath the dense clouds to the icy wastes beneath.
Here they use their mystical powers and channel the magnetic fields of this huge blue planet into their correct paths, before returning to the High Halls of the fabled Grey Lands.
I have made this picture as a larger resolution wide screen image of 1680x1050 pixels, so I would recommend zooming in. It will also make a good desktop background, so please feel free to use it as such.
