Description

morning all :o) well it rained all day yesterday but at least its dry today with the prospect of some sun :o) took this shot a few days ago of these little blighters .they are on the only rose i have`nt dug up for the move as i had 2 .hopefully the ladybirds and hoverflies will have a good meal on these before they do to much damage . there are only 10 houses left, now one of which we live in .the remaining blocks that were left empty were knocked down saturday morning .we have still to be offered somewhere else to live thats decent .it is literally like living in a building site now with heavy plant machinery up and down all day :o( have a great day and thanks for looking .will catch everyone up today :o) mick

I'm mainly 'organic' so the ones which have been missed by the ladybirds etc get squashed by me.....this is the true meaning of 'green fingers'!!!! Very interesting macro, Mick, I'm afraid the litle posers would have snuffed it after the shoot if I'd taken it. It sounds horrific, what you're going through with the council, like some sort of suspense movie.

Fantastic shot of those Aphids! Whenever I find a Ladybug I put her on my finger and place her upon the rosebush. It's their favorite food. Eminent domain on the housing thing??

Excellent macro mate, and a good title, yes thaey are a sin on any plant, washing up liquid so they say, if you don't like the chemical option, or as you rightly say, ladybugs..Hope you get the move sorted soon mate, it must be distressing for the wife and kids, let alone your good self.

You can also hit these roses with a strong stream of water. It knocks them off and few come back. Just make sure you do it in the heat of the day or you might promote mildew on the leaves. And that's another story... Gosh, Mick, Talk about going right to the wire on this house relocation...I don't know that they can bulldoze your place with you in it...how many families are still there?
