I am 58 years young, live in Johannesburg, South Africa and I'm a true product of my continent. I love the bush, the animals, sunshine, sunsets - oh well, anything to do with nature. I am unmarried and have three sons - 37, 33 and 30 respectively and three granddaugters aged 12, 6 and 4 respectively and obviously the light of my life! Photography has always been a passion and I have loved it since I can remember. I was still using a SLR camera and only switched to digital only in late 2007! My other passion is travel and I have been lucky enough to have travelled fairly widely. There are however still many, many places I would love to visit "one day." I am truly an amateur photographer and do it merely as a hobby. So please be gentle when you comment on my work. :-) Thank you Piet, my dear friend, for convincing me to place my work on Renderosity. You owe me one! Hugs, Carin xx

excellent capture Carin, zebras were always one of my favorite animals, i always wanted a truck painted in that pattern much like they did in Daktari the tv show (1966-69).

I find the black on the back of the ear to be very interesting! They do seem docile. Some documentary though said they are not as good natured as you would think. But then, photographing is different from hugging, huh? :-) Fabulous capture that does show the peaceful nature of this beast...at least from a distance.

They say the markings on a zebra are akin to our own fingerprints, never two the same, I haven't checked them myself mind. I say if they haven't changed their pyjama's in years they're a bit mucky, yet they always look clean. Lol. Superb capture Carin, and Ronnie is right you know a watched kettle never boils, the more you yearn the slower it goes. He'll be with you before you know it. Excellent work. Bravo!!!!!
