Description

Created and rendered in MojoWorld using a technique described by Jonathan Allen (jba, an amazingly creative fellow). An original material is created and applied to a sphere and rendered extremely close to the camera. A very complex fractal mix is driving the diffuse. The sun is directly behind the camera. AA: 4, Geometry: 9. Render time about 10 hours @ 2046x2046 original size. Thanks for viewing!

I think the method is called a "pastiche" from very distant memory (back to art school days) Nice work , very vibrant :)

Very funny and original. Looks very much like a photomicrography of a rock taken with a polarizing microscope! Reminds me my geological studies at the university many years ago!
