Description

Urania The Muse. One of the Nine Muses, the daughters of Zeus Urania, from the Greek "Ourania", meaning "Heavenly", is the Muse of astronomy and astrology. Represented by the staff and celestial globe, she can foretell the future from reading the positions of the stars. Her dark colors signify the night sky, and the mysterious veil behind which lie the secrets and mysteries of the universe. She can often be found strolling after dark gazing at the stars which illuminate the darkness, metaphors, in her eyes, for the arts and sciences which enlighten and inspire earthly existence.
