Hello ! Today will be my last upload for about 10 days, as we are going on a vacation. I will do it with this little ant only 4-5 millimeter tall having a walk in Heaven (rhododendrun) I hope you like it. PLEASE ZOOM, It payes. Thanks for your visit and for your kind comments to yesterdays post and atlast thanks for possible comments and favorite addings to this post too. Now I wish you all a wonderful and happy time, without my excuses for a photo. :) Need I tell about the weather today? ;-)

stellar macro! The details on the ant are fabulous and the softness of the flower helps present the ant as the subject very nicely. Look at those jaws on that guy. I'll miss you but have a great vacation.

True that's a paradise for this insect! Really beautiful macro, and it's true, wonderful detail to be seen when clicking to get the popup image. I would like to say here that a part of the magic of the image comes from its shallow depth of field which gives much softness to the flower, insisting on the ant's sharpness. Big bravo!

oh I always see your pictures full size—they shimmer there! Macros always reveal strange and beautiful worlds, but you have a way of finding a "sea" in macros, like we're looking into a big ocean. This rhododendrun becomes a deep tide pool, with a big marine-creature in the center (the stamens, I presume). It's soft and wonderful. Poor ant, he's stumbled into heaven and doesn't know what to do next! Velkommen, ant! Welcome to your new home! (Nice detail on the ant too. His abdomen looks like a fine urn.)
