Richardphotos - That is an excellent guess! The photo was taken from the Bountiful LDS Temple grounds, overlooking the Great Salt Lake. I enjoy photographing LDS Temples, especially at night because they are so beautiful and well lit. I found that the cheap tripod I currently have and have been using with a 35mm film SLR and digital point and shoot cameras does not support the weight of a full size digital SLR and lens. The photos I took of the temple did not work out well, but the sunset photos I took did. So I was still happy.
