Hi all, thanks very much for the kind comments on yesterday's upload - hope you enjoyed the series =) Today's post comes from the beginning of last Sunday if I remember and is one of the very few sunrises I've made it out to see this year and certainly the most interesting and dramatic. Having rested up after exams I'd been going out enjoying myself and unwinding, as you do, and on my way back home from a night at the pubs and the resulting afterparties I was just awake enough to consider grabbing my camera and missioning it down to the beach... partly to walk some of the alcohol off but mainly to see what the sunrise had in store and I wasn't disappointed, especially when I woke up the following afternoon to find the day had clouded over totally, with no sun to be seen. I really did get the best of the day, luckily. The shot was taken on East Sands in St Andrews, the silhouette is my flatmate Zach. More from this sunrise tomorrow, but for the time being hope you like this first departure away from the woods =) Adam *Edit 14/6 - I decided to go back and get rid of that last little bit of lens flare to the left of the sun and add a dark border instead - reposted the amended file =)

This would have been outstanding without Zach but with him, it is absolutely breathtaking. The interest picks up and the eye hits that shining water and wet sand perfectly.
