jeff said in a comment on pj`s(mrslubner) dixie rose the other other day that she was the queen of roses and i totally agree and so this is dedicated to the great lady whose captures just get better and better with each post :o)..
this is a sweetheart rose 1 of 24 i got for junes birthday .such a lovely form and colour and each one captivating in its own way .the only postwork was making the background b/w .we are going out today for junes birthday as things got a bit hectic at times yesterday .

Gosh, Mick, you humble me greatly with this incredible rose macro. This is so tangible, so vibrant and so very touching. The green leaves form a perfect bowl for cupping the rich red petals. I thank you for your very kind words. I also want to pass along my most festive birthday wishes to June. My grandson's 12th birthday is Monday and Kenny (Svarg here on RR) is having the double nickel birthday celebration on Thursday, and as I remember there is another RR member celebrating a birthday on Wednesday...so June is in good company. I hope the day was all she hoped it would be and then a pinch more.

Fantastic macro dedicated to a fantastic lady, superb work Mick. Hope Junes Birthday was a good one, I had a relaxing morning in bed Saturday so I am playing catch up today. Nice to see Ashleigh has posted a pic off to comment on that one now. Superb work and dedication. Bravo!!!!!
