Cuando se iba el otoño con sus mieles pastorales, caminando por el sendero dijo: "Hoy podría ser árbol de flores pensativas pero infinitamente melodiosas. Árbol de soledad y de nostalgia, terriblemente bello, varonilmente tierno. Este lago de ayer me ha hecho virtuoso, y siento que hay un ave de pie sobre mi hombro levantando su canto lo mismo que su nido, y clavando su dardo feliz en cada aurora. No le diré que no. Extenderé mis brazos para que vengan, mansos, otros pájaros. Y en cada flor seré primavera portátil, para el sueño o el pecho de cualquier caminante". Y la reina pensó: "Yo voy caminando..."
