Description
I know I haven't been around here lately and I start a new job on Monday so I thought I would post something in case I don't have time again for a while.
This is a horse fly, they are huge (over an inch long) and they bite.
I just got back from a Mediterranean cruise and will try to post some shots from that in the near future.

Excellent macro shot, I got bit on the leg by one of these around 15 yeard ago, and it hurt like hell, I couldn't walk the next day, and my leg had doubled in size...Bloody things, why don't they stick to biting horses lol

I can easily spot the quality of the 40D. it is on sell here for $1300 with the 28-135 lens.sure been trying to figure out a way to buy it. my better camera the XTi has been gone for a month to Canon for repair, so it makes me want the 40D even more so. outstanding clarity and macro. they sure give livestock hell with their biting.I look forward to your vacation pics.did you take your 40D?congrats on the position. I know you must be glad to be out of college

WOW! What a set of eyes! Very cool POV and very nice focus. Is that just the 100mm canon lens? Or you have ext. tubes on it too?
