Description
It sure looks to me like these deer had a rough winter and will be struggling to get enough sustenance this springtime to make up for it.
This has been a long snowy winter followed by a cold, wet springtime. It just snowed at the pass again this weekend, but this photo was taken when the winter's snow had barely melted away at that elevation (they finally got some fresh Spring greens in mid-May). So it's been a tough winter on all of us, but most especially on the critters.
