Description

Captured way back on 5/28/05, very early in the morning, in front of the sports complex about .45 miles/.724 kilometers from my harrowing haunt. A few of the several shots I snapped of the city's bicycle club that I inadvertantly came upon as they were preparing for their annual stimulating multimile/kilometer run down to the beach and back. This was a year before I joined Renderosity, with its legions of eagle-eyed critics, so I didn't bother with certain little essentials, such as aperture, focus and shutter speed, in my picture taking at that time. Hence, tons of postwork performed on these photos to bring them up to snuff. Incidentally, in case you missed it in your haste, that's a bicycle built for two in the middle photo. Ta ta for today, ya'll.

Well, my friend, I admit to having missed the bicycle-built-for-two, despite the fact that I spent the most time looking at that particular image. I was so taken with the guy on the left, and the fact that they were both standing the same way, that I didn't notice their tandem conveyance. It immediately explains their synchronized posture, though, doesn't it? The shadows in the first shot are quite spectacular. Apparently "very early in the morning" is the perfect time to take photographs of bicycles!

I've always wanted to ride a bicycle built for two :) I'd have to take the front though; I have to be in control LOL ;)
