Description

Hi again! Don`t be afraid - this is only a game! The KOFRAIDA - Theatre at work... This is a free theatre group from Berlin, who shows us the more darker side of carnival, when the hell gates open... Especially in the african influenced carnival rituals of latino america even the bad guys and girls have their place and are a part of the show - all thoses zombies, undeath, vampires, beautiful she-devils and the death itself.....They all want to have some fun.... Here in this scene the death had catched the bride just in this moment and put her on the asphalt, directly in the middle of the street! But this is not really a problem, because they are all dead, so what? One more death, who cares? The show must go on - as life, too.... Don`t worry, be happy!! Took this pic with a Canon EOS 5 D. It sure looks like a great time was had by all, the photographers are certainly happy snapping away. So much colour as well, even the watching public are brightly clothed. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!

@jeffG7BRJ: Very important is the weather here: Sunshine or rain decide about this event. Bad weather means less then 500 000 visitors, and we have had carnival events in the last years here with rain, storm and dark clouds. In this year we were very lucky, the weather was perfect, the whole four days (This here is only the highlight and the end; the carnival lasts 4 days with different band, a lot of food from all countries, theatre groups etc.)
