Description
First I came across this wonderful BMW and just had to take a few shots(about ten), quite a few close ups as well. Later in the day I came across this Officer alone in his Staff car outside Ramsbottom Station, a bit of a mess with all the modern cars and shoppers in the background. So I had to cut him out and stick him against the wall, make it look a bit more realistic, later still, as we were leaving actually I saw the two of them having a chat and they kindly posed for me at the back of the car. This also was a bit untidy and had modern cars plus some American jeeps in the background . So same thing I cut them out and pasted them against the same wall I had from another shot.
For those of you that have asked after my health, I went into hospital last Saturday and had several injections into my spine and I now feel much better. It doesn't stop the pain but boy does it help a lot to make it more easy.
Thank you all for your concern, I am happy that I wake up each morning, and I know there are a lot of people out there a lot worse off than I am.
Thanks for stopping by for a look and for any comments you care to make, I can spend longer at the computer now so I will comment and post a bit more often.
A sunny start to the week here in the UK, hope the weather is to your liking where ever you are. Have a nice week now!

Good set here Jeff.

I really understand what you are saying about your pain. My hubby's family has a bone disease in their genes and I don't know why I thought my genes would cover that up because not only did the hubby go on disability at 36 yrs of age, but my son was diagnosed at 10 with it beginning in his knees and my 31 yr old daughter was just referred to a neurosurgeon to see if they can do something to relieve her spinal and leg pain. I certainly hope the injections will give you a measure of relief so you can have some peaceful and creative time when the pain does not take over the moment. As for this 4-shot collage, I love the bike and sidecar. I remember seeing, as a kid, one in a Laurel and Hardy movie and right then I decided I had to have one someday. Time's getting shorter for that but I still love them. Excellent postwork and wonderful shots!

Beautiful fotos of these classics, they truly give a sense of those older days. You also teach us a lot about what it takes to forge on when it's not that easy, thanks for the reminder. I never want to take life for granted...

I think you do marvelous Jeff, you push yourself to get around and when I hear what you and others have to go through it helps me to be grateful that my problems are not so physical. as for the set of photo's the postwork is top notch, and the BMW with sidecar was difficult enough to catch that many shots because it was quite an eyecatcher with "Joe public" surrounding it. I wouldn't have guessed any postwork with the side view of the vehicle, nice work well done mate!

Good for you, Jeff! A proper trooper, as they used to say! Live every day as if it were your last, but study every day as if you were eternal! Very clever job with these pics... outstanding results! I've just come back from my first sea swim of the year, Wonderful!

Wonderful collage of these WWII scenes Jeff. I remember getting a short ride in one of those Kuebelwagen when my father, and the Lt.Col. he was driving stopped at my grandmother's house in Neu-Rohlau (now Nova-Role, Czech Republic)shortly before the end of the war. It had its top down, and my older cousin maritsch and i sat in the back seat next to a bazooka. I was so proud. they dropped us off outside the village and we had to walk back. at that time, any ride in any car, no matter how short, was a treat. Thanks for sharing. The sepia tones make it more authentic, Sig...

Glad to hear that you are feeling a bit better after that awful jab!!! I've got crumbling discs in my neck and it does give me gip sometimes!! I struggle to do housework...Well that my excuse and I'm blooming sticking to it LOL!!!! Great collage!Super post-work on the Staff car. I love the sepia tones, really gives an old photo effect. My dad had a friend who had a motor-bike and side-car,I can remember him picking us all up to go to his house, me and my mom in the side-car and my dad on the pillion. I can't remember much about the visit except his son gave me a huge pile of Beano comics which I tried to read by the light of the street lights while we drove home...the good ol'days, hey Jeff!!! Hugs

Back in the seventies I could buy a new Russian motorcycle. It looked exactly like this one. Beautiful collage Jeff!

Wonderful shots, all! And I love it that you used that wall as a backdrop. If you hadn't mentioned it, I probably wouldn't have noticed. The one with the two men has a bit of a "cutout" look around their feet, but that can't be helped, and the other one is absolutely perfect. Nice work!
