Although I'm quite partial to both lighthouses and castles I can't tell which this is - though it doesn't really matter because I love scenery such as this! Although I love where I live my 2nd house is going to be a beach house - LOL! I live somewhat near the Atlantic City NJ shore area and fond out that there was at least one lighthouse in the area! Your picture is just another reminder of another place that I would like to visit. It's gorgeous - although how do you get to the top of that hill? - LOL!

To answer your quastions this is a genovese lighthose tower and fortress located on Sardinia the island in the Mediteranean sea wes of Italy( and part of it). The ruins you can see on the bottom area of the photo belong to the anciend fenician city of Nora, a city that for more than 500 years was submerged and only a few centuries ago it emerged again from the depths. I wiull post for sure some more other photos of this marvelous and full of history place.
